Welsh Government visit strengthens partnership and shares insights

On Tuesday 9 June, we welcomed colleagues from the Welsh Government's Transforming Corporate Services (TCS) Programme to Polaris House for a day of knowledge sharing and collaborative discussion.

Showcasing our services

The day began with an introduction from Charlotte O'Toole, Senior Partnership Manager, who outlined UKSBS and the range of services we provide. Visitors then toured our payroll operations, meeting the team and seeing first-hand how our systems, processes and people work together to deliver accurate, compliant payroll day-to-day.

Learning together

A roundtable session brought together payroll, programme and business analysis experts for open discussion on topics including payroll systems, implementation experiences and lessons from the Sharp programme. Colleagues shared practical insights on system integration, data migration, resourcing and managing change – building a clearer picture of what successful payroll implementation looks like in practice.

“My one big take away – be curious. It was really motivating to speak to people who had been on the journey and who really understood the challenges of implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), yet remained positive and enthusiastic about what had been delivered and the potential for the future."

What's next

The visit closed with a reflection on key takeaways and next steps, deepening relationships and supporting the Welsh Government's ongoing transformation journey.

This kind of cross-sector collaboration helps us all learn from each other and deliver better services for our customers. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success.
