UKSBS showcases Shared Services at Civil Service Live 2025

UKSBS representatives Alan Hugill, Neo Service Implementation Lead, and Stephen Mamone, Head of Strategic Partnerships, attended this year's Civil Service Live events, sharing a stand with the Shared Services for Government (SSfG) team in Newcastle on 2 July and London on 8 July.

The events highlighted the power of cross-government collaboration and knowledge-sharing. UKSBS's participation demonstrated how strategic partnerships can accelerate progress and enable organisations to learn from each other's experiences - an approach that underpins our work with public sector partners. The events also provided valuable opportunities to speak directly with our users and clients, gaining firsthand insights into their needs and challenges.

Showcasing UKSBS

A key theme throughout both events was the advancement of digital and AI capabilities across government. As public sector organisations continue to modernise, the importance of staying current with emerging technologies and learning from successful implementations became increasingly evident.

Our partnership with SSfG proved particularly valuable, providing a platform to showcase UKSBS' involvement in the Matrix programme and demonstrate our approach to transforming government operations whilst enhancing inter-departmental collaboration.

"It was a privilege to represent UKSBS on the SSfG stand. The events reinforced the value and importance of shared services as a profession, helping to elevate the profile of the expertise we bring to government transformation."

Supporting delivery of excellent services

The Civil Service Live events provided UKSBS with valuable networking opportunities, sector-wide insights, and a platform to demonstrate our contribution to government's shared services agenda. The connections established and knowledge gained will support our continued delivery of excellent services to customers across government.

"This was my third Civil Service Live I've attended at London ExCeL and it was the busiest by far. It’s great to see so much attendance and interest in the Shared Services for Government stand. What made it particularly rewarding was the quality time we had with our clients and users, hearing directly about their priorities and how we can better support their objectives."
