Following a successful appearance at Civil Service Live Edinburgh last month, we once again shared a stand with Integrated Corporate Services (ICS), a shared corporate services partner supporting several UK government organisations.
This year's overarching theme – Delivery: Turning Ambition into Action – reflected a broader commitment across the Civil Service to translating strategy into tangible outcomes for citizens. Event content was structured around five key themes: Skills for the Future, Adopting AI, Taking Risk, Developing High Performing Teams, and Creating a Positive Culture for Change. Together, these themes explored how civil servants can build the capabilities, culture and confidence needed to deliver effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
UKSBS colleagues engaged with a wide range of visitors throughout the two days, sharing insight into the organisation's work and hearing from civil servants across departments about the challenges and opportunities they face. The conversations were wide-ranging, positive and productive – reflecting the genuine spirit of collaboration and openness that Civil Service Live consistently fosters.
Civil Service Live provides an important opportunity for organisations like UKSBS to connect with the wider Civil Service community, demonstrate the value of shared services, and reaffirm a collective commitment to delivering excellent public services in support of citizens across the UK.
