Driving change: Celebrating innovation through employee recognition

Jade Jameson becomes the first recipient of our newly launched Innovation Award

At UK Shared Business Services (UKSBS), we believe that meaningful change starts with the people who champion it. That's why we introduced the Innovation Award – a new category in our annual recognition programme designed to celebrate colleagues who go beyond their day-to-day responsibilities to transform how we work.

Jade Jameson, an Operational Excellence Specialist, has become our inaugural winner, nominated by colleagues who have witnessed first-hand her commitment to driving improvement across the organisation.

Building a culture where innovation thrives

Since joining the Operational Excellence team, Jade has focused on something deceptively simple: listening. By understanding the frustrations teams face with inefficient processes, she identifies opportunities to create solutions that genuinely improve working life.

"I love taking something that feels overly complicated and turning it into a solution that makes life easier for teams and clients," Jade explains. "It's rewarding to know the changes we implement create a better experience for everyone."

Her approach combines technical expertise in change management with natural coaching abilities, empowering colleagues to embrace new ways of working rather than simply implementing changes for them.

Why recognition matters

The Innovation Award reflects our commitment to acknowledging the people who shape our organisation's future. For Jade, the recognition carries particular significance.

Becoming a trusted member of the team has been my proudest moment. Colleagues regularly come to me for support and guidance. Winning the Innovation Award was another proud moment – it always feels good to be recognised for the work you do.
