The Research and Evaluation framework is due to expire on the 16 July 2020. UK SBS will not be replacing the Research and Evaluation framework when it expires. Any in-flight procurements will need to be completed with countersigned contracts
prior to the 16 July 2020. Contracts can continue to run past the end date of the framework as long as they are signed prior to the 16 July 2020.
The pan government strategy for Research will focus on the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Research Marketplace Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) as the main route to market. We will continue to work closely with CCS in order to achieve value for money for both UK SBS customers and the wider public sector. We believe that this is the best solution for our customers and wider government moving forward. More information about the
Research Marketplace can be found on the CCS website.
UK SBS have continued to work closely with CCS. The conversations have been very productive, with UK SBS and CCS reviewing the current and future pan government strategy for the space. Collaboratively, we have confirmed that of the 15 CPV codes on the Research and Evaluation framework, 13 of these CPV codes are included on the Research Marketplace Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), and the 2 CPV codes, that were initially out of scope, have now been added (performance review and test/evaluation).
